Atasu Group Expands Partnership with China

Atasu Group and the People’s Government of Nanjing have agreed to establish a long-term partnership in orderto implement projects in the field of international logistics, trade and grain processing. The negotiations took place on June 23. The Atasu Group delegation was headed by the company’s President Marat Zhakupov.

The meeting addressed international rail transportation from China to Europe, cross-border logistics corridors, warehouse infrastructure abroad and expansion of economic partnership between Kazakhstan and China.

Nanjing, the capital of Jiangsu province, is one of the largest logistics hubs in China. Container trains travelling between China and Europe connect Nanjing with 70 cities in 15 countries. The development of a trade platform between China and Central Asia creates more opportunities for launching joint projects with Kazakhstan.

The negotiators focused on container transportation, the development of a full production and logistics cycle for the grain industry and the construction of warehouse infrastructure abroad. The meeting concluded with the identification of key areas for cooperation.

The Atasu Group delegation also visited China CAMC Engineeringand the Support Center for Companies Entering Foreign Markets. The discussions focused onbusiness opportunities in Central Asia, development of warehouse infrastructure, grain processing, implementation of digital logistics solutions and 3Dprinting technologies, as well as support for Chinese companies entering foreign markets.

The negotiations continued the dialogue initiated on June 10 in Almaty, where representatives of the Nanjing government met with Atasu Group's senior management.Both parties intend to continue their cooperation.
