Atasu Group pays great attention to the issue of human capital development. The company's management not only trains specialists for the domestic logistics market in its own Academy, but is also interested in the career growth and promotion of each employee who has confirmed his professionalism. So, the heroes of the picture were" yesterday's " movers, security guards and crane operators, who today occupy responsible positions, having passed a difficult but very interesting work path. "We are the bricks of one big wall," the company's employees say about themselves. "The building blocks of an entire industry, economy and country," - adds Marat Zhuman, President of Atasu Group.
"This is a film about people. About the importance of work in a person's life. About the fact that you need to love your profession and understand that each of us creates a great history of the whole country. In logistics, this is obvious. Every day a person consumes some products, puts on clothes, buys medicines – this is the result of our work. Only thanks to logisticians, deliveries of what is necessary for the life of Kazakhstanis are carried out on time. We show people who are not afraid of work. This is how we educate the younger generation – you need to love your job, even if today you come as a janitor, tomorrow you can become a high-class specialist. But for this you need to work – both in the forty-degree heat, and in the harsh winter. The people we showed in the film do it perfectly, " - says Marat Zhuman.
The desire to focus on people explains the success story of the head of the Atasu Group. Marat Zhuman is among the businessmen who are called self-made today – in the early 90s he started as a watchman, a loader of the luggage compartment of the Almaty – 2 railway station, then the idea came to start his own business. Today he is the founder of one of the largest and most successful logistics companies in Kazakhstan and Central Asia. That is why every story of an Atasu Group employee is close and understandable to him.
"I went through all these stages myself. I feel their attitude to life well, I understand the power of their hard work well – when we have our family, parents, and even the country behind us, we have no choice. I try to often go to my employees at the terminals, I will talk to everyone, ask about life, about family, what I can support. When you communicate more, you understand how people see certain problems from the outside. This is how logistics is built - decisions are made in the office, but all the work goes there. These people are well aware that they have a huge responsibility and a task of national importance - to realize all the resources of Kazakhstan in the transit potential, to provide uninterrupted domestic needs, as well as to support the domestic exporter so that Kazakh products successfully enter the world markets. And our main task is to help people so that their work really becomes the best friend for them, " - Marat Zhuman said.
Filming of the film " The best friend. People and Labor " was filmed at the Atasu Group logistics terminal in the village of Otegen Batyr and the Atasu Group international logistics terminal at Dostyk station. According to the author of the film Kanat Beisekeyev, all the characters are very different characters with different destinies, but they were united primarily by modesty. In this profession, no matter how hard the work is, it is not customary to boast or complain.
"We tried to talk to people, tried to understand what they are doing, to tell them about logistics. But almost everyone we recorded turned out to be laconic. They were afraid of the camera, they left us, got on multi-ton cars and drove them around the terminals, transferring containers from one place to another. It was easier for them to climb a tower crane or drive another 1000 kilometers on a truck than to talk about what they do every day. This is what we decided to shoot our story about. The film turned out to be about people who work hard, pass on their knowledge to young people, do not complain and climb the career ladder to make themselves and their family better. This is a film about people who somehow found their second home at work and take care of it. We think we have managed to convey this story. Perhaps sometimes sad or hopeful, but very real, " says film director Kanat Beisekeyev.
