Founder of Atasu Group Takes Part in the International Ethnosport Forum

From April 3 to 5, Antalya hosted the VIII International Ethnosport Forum. This year’s event brought together representatives from 29 countries, including more than 15 Ministers of Sports and Culture and heads of sports federations, as well as scientists and athletes.

Marat Zhuman, Founder of Atasu Group and President of World Horseback Wrestling Federation, participated in the VIII Ethnosport Forum and emphasized the importance of including horseback wrestling–Audaryspaq–in the program of the 1st International Ethnosports games in 2027.

“Audaryspaq is not just a local game but a sport with hundreds of years of history and followers in dozens of countries. We should not only preserve it, but also pass it on to future generations as cultural heritage,” stated Marat Zhuman.

Ethnosports 2027 is set to become the first global platform uniting traditional sports under unified international standards. Including Audaryspaq in the program would create new opportunities for international partnerships, expand its global audience and strengthen support for countries where the sport is actively being developed.

The three-day forum in Antalya resulted in mutual agreements and successful negotiations with partners from countries focused on developing equestrian culture. The forum showed the steadily growing global interest in ethnosports and initiated productive discussions on development strategies, financial models and standards for the new international sporting event.
