The founder of the Atasu Group of companies, Marat Zhuman, supports the educational foundation IQanat and serves as one of its trustees.
The primary mission of IQanat is to provide talented children from rural areas with access to high-quality education, enabling them to gain admission to leading universities in Kazakhstan and abroad, and ultimately helping to bridge the gap between rural and urban education.
Recent updates from IQanat demonstrate how this mission is being implemented in practice. The second round of the national Olympiad has been completed, with 10,000 eighth-grade students participating. This stage identified finalists who will compete for scholarships to the IQanat School or for the opportunity to study in the project’s unique educational programs.
A key role in this process was played by the Peer-to-Peer system, where senior students mentor younger participants in preparing for the Olympiad. Through this initiative, one student, Dias Abdylkhak from the village of Almalybak in the Almaty Region, became a mentor to his peers and helped 22 students secure scholarships to the IQanat School.
